The "Graefte"-series explores the traces left by water – its visible and invisible imprints. Using cyanotype, the historical photographic printing process based on iron salts, water itself becomes the image-forming element.
The works were created in and along the banks of a moat (“Gräfte”) in East Westphalia, Germany.
The water, movement, and light of this place shape the visual language.
The result is a flow of layered compositions that reveal both poetic traces of landscape and microscopic processes.
Over time, the series forms a quiet environmental commentary – a visual celebration of nature in the age of climate change.
